828 DavOr trainees graduate from TESDA skills training
Some 828 graduates from the province of Davao Oriental received their National Certificates for completing various courses under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The graduates were beneficiaries of TESDA’s Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). They were trained on various qualifications such as Bookkeeping NCIII, Driving NCII, Hilot Wellness Massage NCII, Housekeeping NCII, Carpentry NCII, Masonry NCII, Bartending NCII, Food and Beverages Services NCII, HEO Hydraulic Excavator NCII, Events Management Services NCIII, Dressmaking NCII, Plumbing NCII, Organic Agriculture Production NCII, Massage Therapy NCII, Cookery NCII and Trainers Methodology Level 1.
Of the said number, 603 graduates come from the City Mati, 150 of which are from Governor Generoso, 25 from Lupon, 25 from Banaybanay and 25 from San Isidro.
During the separate closing ceremony held on February 2 and 3, 2019 at Gov. Generoso and Mati City respectively, TESDA XI Regional Director, Engr. Lorenzo G. Macapili, DTE emphasized the relevance of TESDA programs in making one’s life better.
He also encouraged the graduates to apply and continuously enhance their acquired skills by availing various scholarship programs.
Along with Director Macapili during the event were Gregorio B. Barsanalina, Jr., Officer-in-Charge of TESDA Davao Oriental Provincial Office, and the representatives of the training providers.
The TWSP was conducted through the Special Commitment of the 2nd Congressional Office headed by Congressman Joel Z. Almario, who was also present during the closing ceremonies.
