Parents complete TESDA training

DAVAO CITY—Some 24 parents of the grade-schoolers in F. Bangoy Central Elementary School successfully completed the community-based skills training program conducted by the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) Davao City/Sur in collaboration with the DMIRIE Foundation, Inc. (MX3 Company).

On Tuesday, April 23, the parents received their certification for completing the training on Bread and Pastry Production NC II during the graduation ceremony held at the F. Bangoy Central Elementary School Gym.

Emilia Mendoza, the president of the DMIRIE Foundation Inc. (MX3 Company), shared that they selected the parents as trainees to equip them with skills that could be utilized for sustainable livelihood.

“We chose these parents in need to augment their financial needs,” she said.

She also commended the government’s initiative on giving programs and services to all sectors of society.

TESDA Davao City/Sur OIC-Provincial Director Bayani Gofredo urged the graduates to form an association to acquire support from other government agencies like the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

“You create an association so that you can avail DOLE’s funds in term of equipment,” Gofredo stressed.

Meanwhile, the graduates bared that they already launched an association on April 16 named ‘Sasa Baker’s Association’.

The DMIRIE Foundation (MX3 Company) is a non-government organization which provides charitable works, scholarship grants, spiritual and feeding ministry to create an impact in the lives of the selected stricken and marginalized individuals, groups and communities.

The trainees were trained by Ms. Rizalie Salvacion under TESDA’s Community-based Training (CBT).

The F. Bangoy Central Elementary School served as the training venue of the Bread and Pastry Production NC II which lasted for 22 days.
