42 TVET Trainers from the construction sector now Regional Lead Assessors
Forty-two new trainers are now pronounced Regional Lead Assessors (RLAs) for carpentry NC III and Masonry NC III after passing the National Assessment on the said qualifications on April 26, 2019 at the Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center, Buhisan, Tibungco, Davao City.
The newly casted RLAs were produced from the recently concluded 5-day Capability Building Program for prospective Regional Assessors on the said qualifications set April 22-26, 2019.
Organized by the Technical Education and Development Authority (TESDA) National Office in active collaboration with TESDA XI Regional Office, the capability program was attended by 45 trainers and assessors in Masonry and Carpentry nationwide.
Fourteen focal persons of the assessment offices also attended the program.
From the 45 participants who were trained in the two qualifications, 42 submitted to the national assessments. Of the 42, twenty-two trainers were assessed in Carpentry NC III and were fully certified new assessors making a 100% passing rate.
On the other hand, 17 were newly minted assessors in Masonry NC III out of 20 candidates, recording an 85% passing rate.
Combining the statistical results of the two qualifications, the said capability program marked a 92.86% passing rate of candidates.
The new regional assessors will take the lead in multiplying more assessors in Masonry NC III and Carpentry NC III in their respective regions, which all boils down as sustainable effort to support President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s Build, Build, Build program.
