TESDA XI visits Brgy. Bala and Brgy. Barayong, distributes relief goods
Last November 7, 2019, the TESDA Region XI distributed the first batch of relief goods to the 160 families at the Brgy. Bala and Brgy. Barayong, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.
It can be remembered that a series of earthquakes and aftershocks hit Regions XI and XII which resulted to heavy damages of buildings and properties.
TESDA Abot Lahat
In view of the series of unfortunate events, the TESDA XI issued an advisory dated October 31, 2019, urging every TESDA XI Personnel to donate usable goods and item like water, food, and clothing to affected areas in Region XI and XII. Furthermore, TESDA Central Office also issued a memorandum dated November 4, 2019, urging all TESDA Officials and Employees to donate usable goods and items to support the communities which were heavily damaged in the said area.
The first batch of relief goods from the TESDA Regional Office XI, Commission on Audit Resident Auditors, Compostela Valley Provincial Office, Davao Oriental Provincial Office, Provincial Training Center- Davao (PTC-Davao), and Davao Oriental Polytechnic Institute were distributed to 160 families at the Barangay Bala and Barangay Barayong, Magasaysay, Davao del Sur on November 7, 2019.
The second batch of relief goods, courtesy from the donations of Davao City/Sur Provincial Office, Regional Training Center-Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center (RTC-KPVTC) and Carmelo C. Delos Cientos, Sr. National Trade School, will be distributed to some areas affected of the earthquakes and aftershocks.
The Davao del Norte Provincial Office, Davao Occidental Provincial Office and other TTIs will also voluntarily donate to the families affected by the earthquake.
Successful One
The families were extremely happy and grateful for the donations of TESDA XI. Also, Brgy. Captain Exequiel D. Elentotorio and the Brgy. Kagawads of Brgy. Barayong extend their sincerest thanks for the generosity of TESDA XI.
This initiative is a manifestation of what it means to be part of this agency- to serve the people. This is also a prime example TESDA Abot Lahat- the agency’s slogan, wherein everyone is included and through initiatives and convergence with other organizations, we can bring the services and programs needed by the people.
